Of all the up-and-coming, gorgeous actresses out there, why should you pay attention to Katerina Kaouri? For starters, she moved over 5,000 miles away from her family and friends in Nicosia, Cyprus to pursue her acting career, starting with a sizeable Instagram following and moving to full-blown celeb status. 

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Kaouri started performing from a young age and was a part of many theatre groups. She took ballet lessons from the age of four and singing lessons from the age of 14. At age 16, she formed her own band that participated in a series of acoustic concerts. 

Now, she resides in California, where she is working on making a name for herself as an actress and following her dreams. 

“You could say my journey started without me even knowing. From a very young age, I would put on performances for my parents to tape. I would then come up with little scenes and make my friends perform them with me in front of their parents too,” she said in an interview with Voyage LA. 

“I really couldn’t imagine myself doing just one thing for the rest of my life. Whereas with acting, you can be a different person every day. It keeps you growing and learning and discovering things about the human condition that you wouldn’t otherwise think about. There’s truly never a dull moment!”

“I’m proud of a number of things, from getting accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and leaving my little island behind to booking my first paid acting job and even making my own doctor’s appointments,” she says. “It’s important to celebrate yourself victories no matter how small!”
